  • Miller, 52, became a public figure when, in 2016, she led the successful legal challenge which forced Theresa May to get Parliament’s approval before triggering Article 50 and leaving the European Union.

It came as no surprise to many in the black community when she was named as the most influential black person in Britain by the 2018 Powerlist, beating the likes of British Vogue editor Edward Enninful, grime star Stormzy and boxer Anthony Joshua.
